Hi, my name is James, I’ve lived in Manchester for 15 years, and grew up in London.
I am a qualified Person Centred Counsellor with a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
I am registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) register number 410774. As such I work within the BACP’s Ethical Framework which you can ask me about, and also read here.
I believe talking therapies have real value, and can make a real difference to people’s lives. However, I also know it can sometimes seem like counselling is something that’s only for other people. I hope to make it easy to give it a try and see where we go from there.
I have worked with adults of all ages, and from many different backgrounds. I am LGBT+ friendly and have some understanding of the community, though I wouldn’t want to claim to be an expert working with LGBT+ clients. I also have some experience working with neurodiverse clients.
